North Haven Realtor enjoys helping her clients make decisions

- Judy Eierweiss Mison

Shortly after obtaining her Realtor’s license in 2000, Judy Eierweiss Mison “literally fell in love” with helping people; so much so that she sold her business and decided to devote her career to the real estate profession.

“I thought it would be a fun part-time job for later in life, so I received my license and started working while still owning another business,” she recalled.

Before transitioning to real estate, Mison had owned and operated a successful Westville art gallery and custom frame shop for many years. Through that experience, Mison learned that she was skilled at connecting with people and guiding customers through their likes and dislikes in order to facilitate a successful transaction.

“I was very good at helping my customers make their decisions,” Mison said. “You don’t need to sell people; but listening, watching and guiding them is a great way to make your clients feel good about their purchase.”

Mison went on to explain that her current role as a Realtor has many similarities to her past experiences as a gallery owner. For that reason, she came in to the real estate business feeling that it should be handled in the same way.

“The buying or framing of art is very personal, and is often an emotional experience,” she remarked. “It’s important that whatever someone is buying is what they want, not what I think they should want.”

Through her 18 years in the business, Mison has maintained the consistently high level of service that she provides to her buyers and sellers.

She particularly prides herself on being trustworthy and actively listening to her clients.

“I’m upfront and honest and have always had the trust of my clients,” she said. “I have an easygoing personality, but am able to get in the ditches for my clients when needed.”

Mison also stressed the importance of ensuring that her clients set realistic expectations before they embark on the journey of buying or selling their home.

Her ultimate goal as a seasoned real estate professional is to ensure that their experience is as “drama free” as possible, she noted.
