Green, Shelton drop Amity in boys lacrosse

Connor Greene scored five goals and Casey Brennan scored three more for the Shelton boys lacrosse team, which defeated Amity 11-6 Saturday in a Southern Connecticut Conference game at Woodbridge.

Nick Pavone had five assists for the Gaels (9-5). Adam Cusano and Colin Hughes both scored twice for the Spartans (5-9).

Notre Dame-West Haven 12, New Milford 6: Zach Hochman scored five goals for Notre Dame-West Haven in a non-conference win at West Haven.

Ben Hassen and Devin Napoli bothh added three goals for the Green Knights (8-6). Nate Capriglione, Jacob Anderson and Evan Galembeske all scored twice for the Green Wave (7-7).

Masuk 12, Foran 5: Stephen Murphy scored five goals for Masuk (10-5) in a non-conference game at Monroe. Will Mauro had a goal and an assist for the Lions (6-8).

Hopkins 10, Kingswood-Oxford 1: David Burton scored three goals for Hopkins (4-9) in a prep school victory at New Haven. Justin Edwards scored the only goal for Kingswood Oxford (1-10).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Bunnell 10, Stratford 1: Ally Curcio scored four goals for Bunnell (5-10) in a South-West Conference win at Stratford. Elle Moshier scored the only goal for the Red Devils (8-8).

Holy Child 10, Cheshire Academy 9 (2 OT): Molly Mackie scored three goals for Holy Child in a prep school win at Rye, New York. Izzy Crane scored four goals for Cheshire Academy (11-3), which saw its nine-game winning streak come to an end.
