Chamber lauds top golf tourney players

PORTLAND — The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announces the winners of its 35th annual golf tournament May 4 at Portland Golf Course.

Chamber President Larry McHugh said the event was sold out again this year.

The Chamber’s Robert Briggs Good Guy Award was given to Dante Fazzina, a commercial middle-market senior relationsh­ip manager with KeyBank. The award is given annually to an individual in recognitio­n of his or her community contributi­ons and to the Chamber through the tourney.

“Dante has been a huge asset to our community, the chamber and our golf tournament for many years. His hard work and dedication to the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce is unsurpasse­d and the committee is truly honored to have Dante as our ‘Good Guy’ this year,” McHugh added.

— First place: Bill Foster, Ian Kaswan, Jason Soucy, Mark Gombotz.

— Second place: Chris Brown, Donald FitzGerald, Eric Goclowski, Tim FitzGerald.

— Third place: Adam Bajko, Doug Maclean, Glenn Ponganis, John Tiago.

— Fourth place: Ron Gronback, Marc Gallagher, Walt Cormier, Tom Prince.

Longest Drive winners

— Men: John Jepson. — Women: Donna Doolittle.

Closest to the Pin

— Hole 4: Adam Bajko, two foot, one inch.

— Hole 8: Ian Kaswan, two feet, 10 inches.

— Hole 14: Jim Cama, two feet, two inches.
