Seniors seek to solve gun violence

-

The Tucci name is familiar in the Middletown school system, to which my husband Frank, my son Alexander and I have given many years of service. My children and several grandchildren have all attended the Middletown Public Schools during which time we never worried about any of us being victims of gun violence. Not true today. I say “never again” to the tragic and horrendous gun violence in America’s schools on nearly a daily basis.

To this end I, a 97-year-old resident, along with my friends and neighbors at Masonicare at Chester Village in Chester, have banded together as Seniors Standing with Students to Solve Gun Violence to send a message in support of the students of Florida and elsewhere. We are deeply impressed and inspired by the strong and dramatic action taken by the young people affected by recent gun violence.

We applaud the energy and dedication of these students and are eager to find palpable ways to support and further enable their efforts. We also urge other seniors, senior groups and individuals to become part of this movement of young and old working together to ensure the safe future of today’s youth.

Please contact us with questions or suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you.
