Kalmia Garden Music & Arts of Durham presents its annual chamber music Farmhouse Concerts series the weekends of June 15-17 and 22-24. Friday and Saturday concerts begin at 8 p.m. and Sunday concerts at 4 p.m. All concerts are preceded by a garden tour led by property owner Tim Gastler one hour prior to concert. TOWN WIDE TAG SALE:
East Hampton’s Town Wide Tag Sale Day, sponsored by the Chatham Historical Society, will be held on Saturday, June 16. Over 60 tag sale sites will be located on free maps in the Town Hall parking lot and at the intersection of Main and Barton Hill. Find vendors at the museum grounds at 6 Bevin Blvd. Look for the CHS sign and balloons indicating the registered sites. Park on only one side of all streets to avoid bottlenecks and space for emergency vehicles. The rain date June 23.
TENT REVIVAL:
The Fishermen Ministry will hold a weeklong Christian Tent Revival at Markham Meadows Campground, Markham Roadd in East Hampton, beginning Monday, June 11 and running through Saturday, June 16. STAEHLY WINERY:
Come, Sip, Stay, Play, celebration of man’s best friend, a day out at the winery, will be held Saturday, June 16, 12-6 p.m. The fundraising event features local shelter dogs available for adoption from Connecticut Animal House. Dogs that are crowd friendly, vaccinated, and on fixed-length non-retractable leashes are welcome and can join a mile-long hike through the farm and other activities. BANDS AT HARBOR PARK:
An afternoon of music by local bands with vendors, food trucks, arts and crafts and other activities, will be held June 16, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at Harbor Park,Middletown. Bands include (in order of appearance) Old Lyme Town Band, 11 a.m, Westerly Band, 12 p.m., South Windsor Community Band, 1 p.m., Farmington Valley Band, 2 p.m., Simsbury Band, 3 p.m., Solid Oak Band, 4 p.m., Middletown High School Jazz Band, 5 p.m., Middletown Symphonic Band,. 6 p.m. Admission is free, and parking is available in Melilli Plaza.
COMMUNITY ART PROJECT:
On the River: A Community Art Project, will be held June 16, 10:30 a.m. in the Hubbard Room, Russell Library, 123 Broad Street, Middletown. In this hands-on art class, participants will work together to create a mural based on a well-known piece of art. Materials provided, or bring your own. Lavender Pond Farm has partnered with Master Bridge Wright and Restoration Conservationist Arnold M. Graton to build an authentic covered bridge at their lavender farm in Killingworth. ALLISON MEMORIAL CELEBRATION:
A celebration of the life of Middletown’s first Poet Laureate, Susan D E Allison, who died May 15, will be held Saturday, June 16, 5:30-9 p.m. at the Community Health Center in Middletown. All who knew her are invited to attend the celebration.
GIANT TAG SALE:
St. Francis of Assisi Church, 10 Elm Street, will hold their annual giant tag sale on Saturday, June 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tag sale committee has been busy organizing all of the wonderful treasures that will be for sale during this event, and the kitchen will be offering breakfast and lunch items for purchase as well. There is plenty of free parking and the building is handicapped accessible.

Monday, June 18 CAT TALES WALK-A-THON:
Cat Tales will hold its annual Walk-A-Thon/Run on Saturday, June 23, to raise awareness and funding for cats and kittens. The event is rain or shine and is held at Middlesex Community College’s upper parking lot, 100 Training Hill Road, Middletown.
