A stunning seaside property

Waterfront East Haven home features a private beach

- By Holly M. LaPrade

There is nothing else quite like waking up to the beauty of a colorful sunrise and tranquil ocean breezes just outside your bedroom window. Your dream is now a reality due to the availability of this direct waterfront property, which boasts spectacular views and your own private sandy beach.

As we begin our tour of this stunning seaside property, we are greeted by an expansive main living area which seamlessly combines the living and dining room spaces along with a great room. The space provides a canvas for you to decorate and enjoy for years to come and includes a wall of sea-facing windows, gleaming hardwood floors and a warming fireplace.

Meanwhile, the spectacular chef’s kitchen has been completely remodeled; complete with top-of-the-line appliances, high quality cabinets and granite countertops. This space also includes a huge prep island and a cozy breakfast bar.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, two which provide ocean views, and all with hardwood floors and cedar closets.

All mechanicals in the home have been recently updated and include a gas furnace, central air conditioning, an on-demand hot water system and a remotely operated home security system.

The home’s paver driveway offers plenty of off-street parking, and unlike most other beachfront homes in East Haven, you will enjoy an expansive lawn and garden area surrounded by a privacy fence.

According to Janet Nicolini, the home’s listing agent, the property is currently the largest oceanfront lot for sale in East Haven.

“This property has a large yard and private beachfront — virtually unheard of,” Nicolini remarked. “You cannot buy a fourbedroom beachfront home at this price in this condition anywhere on the shore line.”

While you are enjoying your waterfront retreat in this seaside neighborhood; you are safely protected from the elements with hurricane-rated front windows, barrier shutters, a concrete and stone sea wall and a solid brick structure which has withstood the elements through the years.

“Enjoy the expansive vista from the wall of windows without concern, as they are hurricane grade and have motorized storm shutters,” Nicolini noted.

Nicolini went on to explain that the property was initially purchased in 1980 in order for its current owners to enjoy the beautiful waters of Long Island Sound with family and friends.

“It has witnessed 38 years of celebrations and family gatherings, and has survived three major storms,” Nicolini explained. “The home has provided both a therapeutic and exhilarating front row seat to the ever-changing seascape during all four seasons.”

The home’s prime location will also provide the opportunity to enjoy the town’s annual fireworks display and catch fish from your own private beach. In addition, the popular Sandpiper beachfront restaurant is just a block and a half away. The long-standing, casual dining establishment is famous for its lobster rolls and endless selection of fresh seafood.

“The Sellers have made generations of wonderful memories here, now it’s your turn!” Nicolini concluded.
