CAT TALES WALK-A-THON: Cat Tales will hold its annual Walk-A-Thon/Run on Saturday, June 23, to raise awareness and funding for cats and kittens. STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: St. Bridget's Annual Strawberry Festival, Tuesday, June 19, from 6-8 p.m. in the church hall, 75 Moodus-Leesville Road, Moodus. $6 for a generous serving, enjoy freshpicke­d berries and real whipped cream on an old-fashioned biscuit. Children's portions, $3. Beverages are included. Take-out orders, including beverages, will also be available. Raffle tickets for theme baskets will be sold, with the winning tickets to be drawn that night. Tickets are $1, or 6 for $5.

TED TALK: TED Talk meets at the Henry Carter Hull Library on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. for a discussion of engaging ideas and topics guided by a curated selection of TED Talk short films. The topic for June 19 is Surprising Stories from the Animal Kingdom, presented by Lynn Hidek. Free.
