Trinity College
HARTFORD — The following local residents graduated from Trinity College May 20:
Kathryn Kloeckener of Middletown earned a master of arts degree with honors in public policy; Karen J. TuthillJones of Middletown earned a master of arts degree with honors in American studies; Kaitlyn Mary Way of Middletown earned a master of arts degree with honors in American studies; Elyse Charlton of Killingworth earned a bachelor of arts summa cum laude in English; and William Chambliss Woods of Middletown earned a bachelor of arts in economics.
Keene State College
KEENE, New Hampshire — Keene State College awarded degrees to 908 graduates May 5, including Durham residents Jenna Barton, bachelor of arts, psychology; and Chelsea Blackwood, bachelor of science, nursing; Killingworth resident Macken Dobbin, bachelor of science, safety and occupational health applied sciences; Middlefield resident Mary D’Orvilliers, bachelor of arts, Spanish; and Portland residents Rachel MacKinnon, bachelor of science, health science; and Abigail Shea, bachelor of science, safety and occupational health applied sciences
Colby College
WATERVILLE, Maine — Annelise E. Walsh of Killingworth, an English major, was recently named to the dean’s list at Colby College during the spring semester of the 2017-18 year. Walsh, a member of the Class of 2020 who attended Haddam Killingworth High School, is the daughter of Sean and Diane Walsh of Killingworth. She earned a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher last fall.
Genesee Community College
BATAVIA, New York — The following Genesee Community College students from Middletown were named to the president’s list for earning a quality point index of 3.75 (roughly equivalent to an A) or better: Savon Williams and Caylen Williams.
Marquette University
MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — Calvin Platt of Chester graduated from Marquette University May 20 with a bachelor of science degree in marketing.
Manchester Community College
MANCHESTER — Manchester Community College named students achieving president’s list and dean’s list recognition for the spring 2018 semester.
President’s list recognizes full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or A GPA in their courses.
Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC are eligible for the part-time president’s list.
They are: Sylvia Murray and Ashley Starrett of Cromwell, Sarah Chasser of East Haddam, Kaelyn Curtis, Elizabeth Joyce, Regina Looby, Kevin McCabe, Katherine Morrone, Mark Perkins, Mark Quinlan, Arthur Robinson and Lucy Sceery, all of East Hampton; Thomas Dickinson of Middlefield and Gloria Martinez of Middletown.
Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades are eligible for president’s list status. They are: Joanna Dabkowski and Raymond Morassini of East Hampton; and Jennifer Foster of Middletown
Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the dean’s list.
