How many facets of your life require teamwork in order to achieve a successful end result?

While we are on that topic; what does teamwork have to do with your real estate transaction?

Let’s coach a hypothetical baseball team for a minute.

Here’s the scenario: It’s been a great season, and your team is participating in the playoffs for the first time in years. It’s finally game day and the sun is shining high in the sky. The ball fields are green and freshly mowed. You and your teammates are eagerly anticipating the big game.

Twenty minutes before the game is set to start, you realize that things are not going as smoothly as you had hoped. It turns out that the catcher forgot his protective gear, the center fielder is running a half hour late and the first baseman can’t find her eyeglasses.

This game is not going as you had hoped.

I’ve got news for you. In the real world, real estate transactions are not much different than our hypothetical ball game. When you purchase or sell your home, there will likely be things that do not go quite exactly as you had hoped.

What you might not realize is that there will be an entire “team” of professionals working to successfully close your transaction on “game day.”

Just like in baseball; an experienced team with strong leadership skills can anticipate problems, rally when one arises, and get things back on track for closing day.

Just like a successful baseball coach, the most successful Realtors are experts at leading a team of specialty professionals including lenders, stagers, attorneys, inspectors and contractors.

A good Realtor will seek out the best professionals to work on their team in order to make sure that your property successfully closes on game day.
