Boston native worked hard to build up relationships with clients
Katherine Reed obtained her Realtor’s license in 2006 shortly after relocating to Connecticut from Boston. From that point; she made the decision to affiliate with Press|Cuozzo Realtors, and the rest is history.
“Joining Press|Cuozzo is by far the best move I’ve made in my entire real estate career,” Reed said. “My brokers are always there to assist, to answer questions and to be present at appointments. My clients are their clients, and it’s a wonderful partnership.”
Twelve years ago, the transition into real estate initially presented a challenge for Reed. While many of her fellow agents were born and raised in Connecticut and already had established lifelong connections with people in the area, Reed essentially had to “start from scratch” in building relationships with potential clients.
“I worked very, very hard to make connections, as I only knew a few people who lived in this state,” Reed explained. “I had to establish relationships every single opportunity I had.”
Reed approached the dilemma by making connections in the large apartment community she was living in at the time. From that point, she continued to network until she had secured a solid grasp on the local market.
“I see myself as a little bit of a success story, mostly because this is a very competitive industry,” she said.
Now that Reed has successfully immersed herself in the local community, she takes pride in getting to know her clients
and utilizing creative strategies to market their listings.
“Between social media marketing, open houses with music and snacks, mailings, picture collages, videos — you name it, I do it!” she remarked.
Reed also thoroughly enjoys guiding her clients through the process of buying or selling their home. She particularly prides herself on her commitment to treating every customer with the highest level of respect.
“To me, this business is about helping someone find their first home, maybe their dream home, and sometimes their forever home — and I love being a part of that process,” Reed said.
