PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island — Jack Simoneau, son of Paul and Diane Simoneau of Ivoryton, was among over 900 students from Providence College who received undergraduate degrees May 20. Simoneau, a business economics major and finance minor, graduated with a bachelor of arts degree. He is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon.

POMFRET — Joshua Stielau of Middletown, a member of the Pomfret School Class of 2020, was named to spring 2018 high honors list. Those who achieve this honor must have a GPA of at least 3.670 and received no grade lower than a B for the term.
Sacred Heart Academy
HAMDEN — Sacred Heart Academy recently announced the honor roll for the second semester of the 2017-18 academic year. Natalie Davis of Middlefield earned high honors. Honors are awarded at the end of each semester to students attaining an average of 3.5 or better, and those students who achieve a GPA of 3.8 or greater are awarded high honors.

BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania — Lehigh University’s dean’s list status, awarded
Vinal Technical High School
to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses, has been granted to Jeffrey Dicker of Old Saybrook in the spring 2018 semester.
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — Justin Ereshena of Middletown, a student at Vinal Technical High School in Middletown, was awarded a skill point certificate in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.
This career and technical student in Connecticut won one of the nation’s highest awards at the 2018 SkillsUSA Championships June 27 to 28. More than 6,300 students competed at the national showcase of career and technical education. The SkillsUSA Championships is the largest skill competition in the world and covers 1.4 million square feet, equivalent to 20 football fields or 25 acres.
