Following his family’s footsteps

The real estate profession has been a part of Joe Cafasso Jr.’s life since he was a child, and in 2004, he decided to leave the comfort of his corporate career in the IT field in order to continue his family’s long-standing tradition.

“I really grew up in the industry,” Cafasso remarked. “Both of my parents have been Realtors for as long as I can remember.”

Although Cafasso has followed in his parent’s footsteps in terms of his career choice, he takes great strides to set his services apart from any other agent. Due to his past profession­al experience­s, he has developed the ability to effectivel­y harness the power of technology in order to seamlessly facilitate a transactio­n from start to finish.

“The real estate industry, as well as the marketing and advertisin­g industries, are undergoing some amazing changes,” he said. “Whether it’s using social media tools to market one of my listings, or using YouTube videos to educate first-time buyers on the home buying process, I do it all.”

Cafasso also prides himself on his daily activities, which enable him to stay current with the ever-changing regulation­s in the industry. Realtors are required to participat­e in 12 hours of continuing education every other year in order to maintain their license, he explained, which in his opinion is not sufficient.
