OPEN HOUSE: Middlesex Hospital will hold an open house at its renovated facility at 252 Westbrook Road in Essex on Thursday, Aug. 9, 4-7 p.m. Members of the public are welcome to tour the facility at this time, and refreshmen­ts will be served. The renovated facility was once home to the Shoreline Medical Center, now located in Westbrook. Middlesex Hospital's Occupation­al and Environmen­tal Medicine Department and its Physical Rehabilita­tion Department now have offices there.

FREE LUNCHES: Families can visit the Deep River Public Library’s Children’s Garden, on Thursdays, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to receive a bag of nutritious food. Arts and crafts will also be available for the children. Program sponsors are looking for volunteer help and food donations, especially easy-to-carry, kid-friendly, nutritious lunch and snack items. GAZEBO CONCERTS: The Joseph N. Goff House’s 19th annual Gazebo Concert Series, held on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in the East Hampton Village Center at the Center School Gazebo, concludes Aug. 9, Victor Cowles. Listeners are welcome to bring seating and a picnic. Dogs and children welcome. Local Cub Scouts will be on hand to sell snacks and refreshmen­ts.

CLINTON FARMERS MARKET: The Clinton Farmer’s Market runs on Thursdays, 3:30-6:30 p.m. through October at its new home on the grounds of the historic Adam Stanton House & General Store Museum, 63 East Main St., Clinton.
