Sean Young wanted for questioning in burglary
NEW YORK — Police say actress Sean Young is wanted for questioning after she was caught on surveillance video stealing laptops and video production software from a store in New York City.
Police say employees at a store in Queens reported a burglary Thursday. They say surveillance video showed Young and a male companion breaking in and stealing laptops and software worth about $12,000.
A representative for Young did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
The 58-year-old Young starred in 1980s movies including “Blade Runner,” “No Way Out” and “Wall Street.” She recently appeared in “The Alienist” on TNT.
Young has been known for erratic behavior over the years. She was arrested outside an Oscars party in 2012 after she was accused of slapping a security guard.
Photographer: Murray harassed me at eatery
OAK BLUFFS, Mass. — A photographer says actor Bill Murray slammed him against a door and poured a glass of water over him while he was taking photos of a band at a Massachusetts restaurant.
Peter Simon tells The Boston Globe he was on an assignment for The Martha’s Vineyard Times at Lola’s in Oak Bluffs on Wednesday when Murray accosted him, swore at him and threatened him.
Simon, who is singer Carly Simon’s brother, said the band invited him and he was not there to take pictures of Murray. A police report says Murray told police Simon was taking pictures of him.
The report says Murray was “visibly upset” and said Simon was harassing him. No one was charged.
Murray’s entertainment lawyer didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Friday.
Country group Rascal Flatts abruptly ends show over ‘security issue’
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — Country group Rascal Flatts abruptly ended an Indiana concert because of what police call a “security issue” that is being investigated.
Concertgoers say the band didn’t return for an expected encore Thursday night at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center in suburban Indianapolis, after which a public-address announcement said the show was over. Security guards told people to evacuate the seating area. Fan Andy VonDielingen told The Indianapolis Star he saw a disruption in the general-admission area closest to the outdoor amphitheater’s stage.
The Hamilton County Sheriff ’s Department said Friday the matter is an open investigation. It didn’t immediately release any details.
Rascal Flatts said on Twitter that everyone was able to leave safely and thanked fans for their understanding.
