Brewery participating in Renaissance Faire
BRANFORD — Thimble Island Brewery founders Mike Fawcett and Justin Gargano will offer five of their best craft brews at the 20th annual Connecticut Renaissance Faire that begins on the Lebanon Fairgrounds on Sept. 1.
“There is a lot to see at The Connecticut Renaissance Faire ranging from jousting, sword fights, and comedy routines to shopping, food, and craft beer. The show pulls you into the fun making for a great experience overall. Visitors will remember the day and look forward to returning next year — if not the next weekend,” said Brian Harvard, General Manager of the Connecticut Renaissance Faire.
The family-oriented event has expanded to seven consecutive weekends this fall to further celebrate the 20th season.
The Connecticut Renaissance Faire will give thousands of visitors an opportunity to try Thimble Island Brewery Craft Beer and taste for themselves why the team at the Faire chose them over many others. Guests will also be able to purchase turkey legs, bread bowl stews, steak on a stick, sweet desserts, and more.
In addition festival food, desserts and craft beers, the Connecticut Renaissance Faire is a day filled with continuous themed entertainment.
“Brian already mentioned the jousting and armored combat, but we can’t forget the fact talented performers will be performing throughout the day as well,” Tetreault said. The festival is packed with themed shows and entertainment all set in a wooded area reminiscent of an old-world festival right at the Lebanon Country Fairgrounds.
“Craft beer is all the rage in New England and The Connecticut Renaissance Faire will give beer lovers a taste of what they’ve been missing,” said Fawcett. Thimble Island Brewery will be featuring American Amber Ale, Coffee Stout, Session 45 IPA, and 2 special seasonals during this year’s festival.
The Connecticut Renaissance Faire is a recreation of a 16th-century fall festival with continuous themed entertainment including jousting, armored combat, archery, games, comedy and more. Located east of Hartford and North of New London, The Connecticut Renaissance Faire is open rain or shine every Saturday and Sunday from September 1 to October 14 (plus Labor Day and Columbus Day Monday) on the Lebanon Fairgrounds in Lebanon, Connecticut. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children (7-15). Children ages 6 and under are admitted at no cost. Advance tickets are available at ctfaire.com or at the Faire’s box office on all days the faire is open. For more information visit ctfaire.com or phone 860-478-5954.
