Special rates offered on Boston to Canada cruises

Special rates are being offered on Boston to Canada cruises aboard Royal Carribean’s Serenade of the Seas Sept. 23 and Oct. 7, 21 and 28 as “a big thank you to our heroes.”

Visit N.Y., Atlantic City

The National Council of Negro Women New Haven Section is offering a trip to New York and Atlantic City Oct. 27-28.

Trip includes visits to the Ground Zero Memorial, midtown Manhattan, Harlem, Schomburg Center, a night stay in Atlantic City, casinos, outlet mall and more.

Cost is $250 and includes transportation and hotel; $75 is due ASAP with balance due by Oct. 6. Departs at 7 a.m. from the Stetson Library parking lot on Dixwell Avenue, and returns at 7 p.m.

Head to Foxwoods

The West Haven Senior Center is offering a trip to Foxwoods Resort Casino Nov. 27 to see the Legends Concert, a 90-minute show featuring the music of Elvis, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, David Bowie, George Michael and The Blues Brothers.

Tickets cost $25 per person for Casino Only; or $52 for Casino and the Legends show. Trip includes a bonus for everyone on the bus, a free buffet meal or $10 Food Voucher and $10 slot play. Payment due by Nov. 2.
