Agent builds strong relationships
Throughout her three decades of experience in the corporate sector, Susan Hitchcock has learned that listening to the needs of customers is the key to a successful business transaction.
“As a real estate agent, it is essential to build strong relationships with clients,” Hitchcock said. “Effective communication, honesty and trust is important when dealing with buyers and sellers.”
Prior to beginning her career in real estate, Hitchcock worked in the corporate industry for more than 30 years. Her position required her to manage the corporate communications and marketing functions at Sikorsky Aircraft.
Through her work in the corporate arena, Hitchcock had the opportunity to interact with many high-level business professionals. She also successfully built relationships with both internal and external customers, a skill that closely aligns with the real estate profession.
“My experience in community relations, communications and marketing all prepared me for a career in real estate,” Hitchcock remarked.
Hitchcock also draws heavily from her experience as a long time resident of New Haven County. Additionally, she is backed by the continuous education and training programs that Coldwell Banker provides for its agents.
“As a Realtor, you must stay connected to the evolving training techniques,” Hitchcock said. “Utilizing Coldwell Banker’s robust marketing tools will set me apart from others.”
Hitchcock strongly believes in maintaining close and open communication with both existing and potential clients. In order to achieve this goal, she maintains a personal website, www.SueHitchcock.CBinTouch.com and also utilizes her strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively serve her clients.
“I am a highly energetic leader who has a strong focus on customer relationships with a strong ethical background,” she said. “I also have an outgoing and positive personality, which will benefit the buyer and the seller.”
Although Hitchcock enjoys many aspects of her career, the most gratifying part of her position is the opportunity to connect a buyer with a home that meets all of their personal preferences.
“As a real estate agent, my most rewarding aspect would be to find the forever home for a client,” she said.
