MILITARY WHIST: The Haddam Volunteer Fire Auxiliary will hold its Annual Military Whist Card Party, Oct. 23 at the new firehouse, 439 Saybrook Road. HALLOWEEN GHOST WALKS: the annual Clinton Historical Society’s Halloween Ghost Walks will be held Oct. 23-24, 3 tours each night at 6 p.m. ,6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Lantern-lighted tours stroll past historic homes harboring ghostly secrets and spooky tales, then to Indian River Cemetery with ancient burial grounds dating back to the 1600s. Guides provide historic commentary along the route. In the graveyard, Kidz Konnection's advanced acting troupe, Shoreline Actors Collective, will perform. Visit the 1791 Stanton House and 1750 Old Brick for seasonal refreshments and a bonfire. Tickets $13, reservations required.
