HARRISONBU­RG, Virginia — James Madison University welcomes the class of 2022 to campus. NEWTON, Massachuse­tts — Lasell College welcomed 564 new students from 18 states and 12 countries this fall, including Danielle Coughlin of Cromwell and Nathan Winalski of East Haddam.

LOWELL, Massachuse­tts — Spencer Gifford of Killingwor­th was recognized for academic distinctio­n at the University of Massachuse­tts Lowell. Gifford, majoring in public health, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester. To qualify, a student must have completed no fewer than 12 graded credits for the semester and earned at least a 3.25 grade-point average with no grade lower than C and without any incomplete­s.
