Steinhauser, Lesser care about working class

This upcoming election is more important than ever. I am writing to urge Cromwell and Portland voters to support Laurel Steinhauser for state rep and Matt Lesser for state senate Nov. 6.

It is imperative that we have people in the legislature who will provide a balance for what is happening

at the federal level. Laurel and Matt are strong supporters of public schools, woman’s rights and affordable health care. That’s all so important for middle-class families like mine.

As a mom of three daughters, I am also especially concerned about environmental issues. We need strong leaders to develop and support policies which will allow us to have a healthy and stable future. Clean air, water and land should not be controversial, but sometimes it is.

Laurel is a fresh new voice who will be a champion for women, children, workers and the environment. She is smart, creative and passionate about helping people and protecting our future.

As a state rep in Middletown, Matt been an exceptional legislator who has stood up to special interests and has been a leader protecting college students, health care and the environment. He has received a 100-percent rating and a strong endorsement for his past work from the Connecticut League of Conservation Votes. Both Laurel and Matt are hard working leaders with the right values.
