Sunny Train concert is special for kids

MIDDLETOWN — The Buttonwood Tree will host Sunny Train in a concert for children and their families, March 2, 3-5 p.m.

This family show will be filled with fun music and stories by musicians who have spent many to delighting children with their songs.

Tickets are $5 for the daytime family show with a $20 family rate, up to 4 children. Children age 2 and under are admitted free.

Sunny Train is a profession­al band dedicated to providing the highest quality of interactiv­e family music entertainm­ent for all ages. Their original songs are created to inspire families and friends to sing, dance and play.

Audience members can shake eggs, bang on drums, twirl hula hoops, explore yoga poses or play with the world’s biggest bubbles.

From a sweet acoustic duo to a full band electrifie­d experience, Sunny Train loves to travel to schools, festivals, libraries, community centers, birthday parties and kid friendly events of all kinds. Sunny Train includes Christophe­r Jankowski on guitar, percussion, harmonica, vocals, music and lyrics; Anastasia “LaLa” Jankowski on ukulele, percussion, trumpet, vocals, music and lyrics; Connor Oyster on bass; Nate Lawson on drums; Andrew Hendryx on mandolin; and Jeremy A. Wall on sax and flute.

Sunny Train will also perform an adult show at 8 p.m. For the evening concert, tickets are $10. per person. The shows’ sponsor is the Puffin Foundation, which is also hosting a student concert at Macdonough School on Friday, March 1.
