Teaching helped build skills

-

Prior to becoming a Realtor in 2000, Stacey DeAngelis was an elementary school teacher, which unknowingly turned out to provide a great foundation for a real estate career.

“Being a teacher taught me how to manage all personality types, which is an invaluable tool when handling all the different types of personalities you encounter with clients in real estate,” DeAngelis said. She also enjoys meeting new people and making them feel comfortable, which is an extremely beneficial characteristic in a Realtor.

For DeAngelis, her customer service philosophy is based on creating relationships and being available to her clients. She finds the most rewarding part of her career is being able to help the people who need it the most.

“It is not just about closing the deal, it is about creating a long term relationship with my clients. Many of my clients have become my very close friends. And now I am starting to work with the children of clients who purchased through me when I first started working.”

She added that she always makes herself available to all her clients and gets back to them almost immediately.

To ensure that her listings stand out, DeAngelis always stages every home, whether she does the staging herself or hires a professional. She also believes in the importance of professional photography to put each listing in its best light.

“Every house deserves a true photographer, after all ‘a picture is worth a thousand words!”’

DeAngelis credits her brokerage for providing a very strong support staff that enables her to provide the best service to her clients.

“Most importantly, I consider each agent at Calcagni a friend. We all enjoy helping one another. It is truly a wonderful place to work.”

DeAngelis stays apprised of changes in the industry by constantly being active in the field. “Real estate is a fulltime profession. Each transaction is different, and the best part is that you learn by doing!”
