Agent with financial experience
Nancy Corbally got her real estate license in 2006, a very interesting time for the real estate market.
“It was just in time to experience the high of a great market and then the low of watching it collapse soon thereafter. The next few years were pretty challenging, but I survived it and learned how to cope with some difficult situations that homeowners were faced with.”
Originally an accountant, Corbally was working in finance at Bayer Pharmaceuticals when the company left the state. “Just before they announced they were moving I had decided to dabble in something a little more fun than finance and had taken the classes to become a Realtor. It turned out to be good timing.”
Corbally sees herself as more of a service provider than a salesperson and draws upon her own life experience to “meet” people where they are in their lives.
“It takes more than good service to distinguish yourself. At one time or another, I’ve been in the same situation as most of the people I meet — young/old, financially struggling/comfortable, married, divorced, a single mom, widowed; I’ve had family tragedies and great family celebrations; I’ve been up and I’ve been down. I’m not afraid to share things about my life if it feels appropriate, and it lets my clients know I trust them. Trust breeds trust.”
Corbally specializes in working with buyers, listening to her clients to determine their needs, stressing the importance of really listening, even to things they aren’t telling you.
She also excels in being responsive. “My phone rings — I pick it up. You
send me a message — I answer it. You ask me to do something right away — I jump through hoops to make it happen.”
She credits Coldwell Banker for their reputation for quality, integrity, and values, along with her office’s incredible training, technical and administrative support and the leadership that promotes the closeknit family environment.
Corbally belongs to the Northford/North Branford Women’s Club and volunteers for a disabled veteran, assisting him with any necessary paperwork and keeping up with his bills. “It’s where I hone my listening skills!”
