Flu clinics, pneumonia vaccinations start Saturday
MIDDLETOWN — The health departments of Cromwell, Durham, Middlefield and Middletown have announced the schedule for this year’s seasonal flu clinics.
In addition to flu shots, pneumonia vaccine will be offered.
In order to receive a flu or pneumonia shot, participants must be at least 18 and in good health, according to a news release. Insurance is required in order to receive the pneumonia vaccine.
Flu vaccinations are free of charge for those who bring an insurance card. Those without insurance may be eligible to receive a flu shot at no cost (there is a limited vaccine supply).
The flu and pneumonia vaccines will be given on a firstcome, firstserved basis (appointments will not be taken), and residency is not required, the release said.
Participants may save time by downloading the vaccine consent form at cromwellct.gov; townofdurhamct.org; pshd.org in Middlefield, or middletownct.gov. Clinics will be held: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at South Fire District, 445 Randolph Road, Middletown
Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westfield Fire Department, 653 East St., Middletown
Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Town Hall gymnasium, 41 West St., Cromwell
Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, 245 deKoven Drive, Middletown
Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m at the Town Hall gymnasium, 41 West St., Cromwell
Nov. 5, noon to 6 p.m. at the Activity Center (second floor), 350 Main St., Durham
Nov. 12, 9 a.m. to noon at the Town Hall gymnasium, 41 West St., Cromwell
