Notable: It’s the Yankee Conference Bowl, as the old IAA rivals meet as two of the worst FBS programs in the country. … These schools first met on Nov. 6, 1897, when Massachusetts Agricultural College beat Storrs Agricultural College 360 in Amherst. This is the secondlongest series in UConn program history and this marks the first meeting in Amherst since 1999. … UConn has lost 22 consecutive games against FBS opponents, a streak that could end this weekend. The Huskies are a 10point favorite. UConn is ranked 127th in Football Power Index, UMass is 130.. … UConn’s Cam Ross had a careerhigh nine receptions in last week’s loss to Houston. Notable: Yale senior quarterback Kurt Rawlings has 41 touchdown passes tying him with Alvin Cowan for the most in program and needs 267 yards of total offense to break Morgan Roberts’ program record. Rawlings would already have those marks if he hadn’t suffered a seasonending injury in last year’s win over Penn . ... Running backs Zane Dudek and Alan Lamar have combined to run for more than 3,000 yards and 33 touchdowns at Yale but have combined for 123 yards in the last two games. Some of that can be attributed to the Bulldogs falling behind early but explosive running plays have been hard to come by in recent games. Penn has allowed an average 211 rushing yards in two Ivy League games . ... Speaking of running the ball, the Bulldogs have surrendered 188 yards to opposing quarterbacks in the last two games. Penn quarterback Nick Robinson is second on the team with 27 rushing attempts but the Quakers tend to get their yards on the ground courtesy of electrifying senior running back Karekin Brooks who leads all FCS players with an average of 137.8 rushing yards per game and 156 yards from scrimmage per game . ... Penn has five players with at least 10 receptions led by Ryan Cragun who has 396 yards on 23 catches despite missing the Dartmouth game . ... Zach Evans, who had 10 solo tackles in the Dartmouth loss, leads Penn with 44 total tackles.
