- By Paul Schott

STAMFORD — NBC Sports Group’s latest “Sunday Night Football“show reeled in an average audience of about 23.5 million across TV and digital platforms, becoming the only primetime series to average more than 20 million viewers across 100 broadcasts in the past decade.

The Minnesota Vikings 2824 win over the Dallas Cowboys clinched the milestone, which also improved by 15 percent on the viewership for the Week 10 “Sunday Night Football” game in 2018, according to data released Monday by the Nielsen Co. and Adobe Analytics.

Fox’s “American Idol,” which aired several times per week, ranks second in the category. It notched 69 shows with a 20 millionplus audience since 2010. Next came ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” and CBS’ “NCIS,” both with 25; and the multinetwork “Thursday Night Football,” with five.

“Sunday Night Football” is averaging 20.8 million viewers across all platforms this season — its highest viewership through Week 10 since 2015, and up 5 percent from the same point last season.

The average minute audience for Sunday night’s live stream on the NBC Sports Digital and NFL Digital platforms totaled about 530,000, up 58 percent from last year’s Week 10 “Sunday Night Football” game.

NBC Sports Digital’s average AMA of about 500,000 for Sunday Night Football through Week 10 has increased by 41 percent on last season and equal to its highestever digital audience for that span of an NFL campaign.
