3 Todt family members were stabbed, autopsy documents show

- By Tara O'Neill

Three of the four Todt family members from Colchester — killed in their Florida home sometime in December — were stabbed, preliminary autopsy documents released Thursday indicated.

Megan Todt, 42, and her two sons — Aleksander Todt, 13, and Tyler Todt, 11 — were each stabbed, according to WESH, a broadcast station in Florida.

The mother — who graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor of Science in 1999 and again in 2001 with a master of science — was stabbed twice in the upper abdomen, the autopsy documents showed.

Aleksander and Tyler were each stabbed once in the upper abdomen. There was no evidence of injury to 4-year-old Zoe, WESH reported.

The documents released Thursday did not list a cause of death for any of the Todts.

The four Todts — along with the family dog, Breezy — were found dead in the family’s

Celebration, Fla., home on Jan. 13. Officials said they were all found in one of the bedrooms of the home.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating their deaths, has arrested the patriarch of the family Anthony Todt. He has been charged with four counts of homicide and one count of animal cruelty.

Authorities said Anthony Todt confessed to the killings. He’s being held in Osceola County jail without bail.

The preliminary autopsy documents indicated, according to WESH, that the four family members were found in the early stages of decomposition.

Toxicology results are still pending and can often take weeks.
