Ghost Storm looks to prove the paranormal

- By Jean Falbo-Sosnovich jean.sos@snet.net

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, the paranormal investigation team Ghost Storm is again inviting the public to join them on a spirited adventure.

Coming off the heels of their sold-old Ghost Lab experience in January, the Norwalk-based Ghost Storm is holding a second liveaudience event March 27 at Fright Haven, 411 Barnum Ave. Cutoff in Stratford.

Head ghost hunter/clairvoyant Nick Grossman, fellow clairvoyant Peter Cerow and the Ghost Storm team plan to deliver “paranormal proof” that things that go bump in the night are real, and will help people contact loved ones from beyond the grave, through a process called “scrying.”

Doors to the event, dubbed “Ghost Lab: Paranormal Overnighter,” will open at 10 p.m., with the show starting at 11 and running until 1 a.m., with time allotted for a question-andanswer period.

The Ghost Storm team will conduct the presentation in a private, secluded room surrounded by mirrors.

The evening will unfold with a session on how to use paranormal investigation tools combined with actual psychic abilities, which Grossman said many people don’t realize they have.

They also plan to share their recent experience heading a paranormal expedition into The Freemason Lodge, and then attempt to make contact with several artifacts.

The event also will feature a display of the team’s collection of “possessed” dolls, along with a centuries-old pirate liquor bottle that Grossman said has been the subject of numerous séances and paranormal activity.

At the group’s previous event, Grossman said a participant was holding the vintage bottle and the cork, made of glass, “popped out.”

Participants will also meet “the faceless doll.”

Grossman said a highlight of the interactive experience will be a midnight mirror “scrying” session. Scrying, he explained, is a mystical art in which someone holds a candle or light to a mirror and focuses on the image. He said that often “opens a portal to the spirit realm,” a technique Grossman said is used by many in European and Caribbean cultures.

At the previous event, Grossman said numerous participants saw departed loved ones in the mirror.

“In the midst of the scrying segment, one gentleman saw his deceased grandfather during an out-of-bodyexperience; another confessed to seeing his face disappear into the mirror, and another lady saw her deceased parents by her side,” Grossman said.

The event, sponsored by GhostTour.com, is limited to 50 guests. It is open to all ages, but guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $39 in advance. If not sold out, admission will be $49 at the door.
