Conn. Radio Fellowship elects new president
MIDDLETOWN — Connecticut Radio Fellowship recently named Drew Crandall its new president of the Board of Directors. Crandall previously served as vice president and media coordinator, handling the organization’s website, e-newsletter, social media and media relations.
Connecticut Radio Fellowship operates WIHS 104.9-FM, a live and local, 24/7 Christian radio station, according to a press release. The call letters stand for “We’re In His Service.” The nonprofit, noncommercial, listener-supported station has been on the air since 1969 and employs over 20 full- and part-time employees, according to the company.
The station’s traditional broadcast area includes much of Connecticut, portions of western Massachusetts and Long Island, New York. It also streams content online, reaching a wider community of listeners across the region and beyond, it said.
Crandall is the owner of Keep In Touch, a marketing communications agency in Vernon. He has been heavily involved in Christian ministry in Connecticut for decades. He is also president of Northeast Christians At Work, director of Jacob’s Well Christian Coffeehouse, and director of Vision New England, a network of Christian churches across the six-state region.
The Connecticut Radio Fellowship Board of Directors also voted William Bacon as vice president, Albert Innarelli treasurer, Yvonne Mitto assistant treasurer, Diane Bennett secretary, and Larlie Alvaranga assistant secretary.
