City grateful to Memorial Day flag sponsors
We would like to thank the following companies and participants for sponsoring a downtown flag in honor of Memorial Day. Special gratitude goes to LABCO Welding, who graciously donated their time and materials to help us celebrate our first responders, front-line and health-care workers from Memorial Day until Labor Day.
This year, we extended the American flags along Crescent Street to give thanks to employees at Middlesex Health for everything they have done, and are now doing during the coronavirus outbreak.
Due to the generosity of downtown businesses and individuals this year, new flags and poles have been installed on Main Street. The Middletown Fire Department attached new flags to the poles, and the city of Middletown alarm division installed the flags with the help from public works and Al Santostefano, creating a show of patriotism through great cooperation between the city, Middlesex Chamber’s Central Business Bureau and business community.
Let’s come together to show our support, patriotism, and brighten not only downtown Middletown, but our country’s spirits at a time when it’s most needed. To join the supporting companies, contact Daniellelee Gagnon-Smith at 860-347-6924 or email dsmith@middlesexchamber.com. Participants are:
