Liberty Bank promotes 20-year employee
MIDDLETOWN — Liberty Bank has promoted Minnie Saleh, its chief retail banking officer, from executive vice president to senior executive vice president.
Saleh, a 27-year banking executive, came to Liberty in June 2015 and quickly ascended to her current role, according to a press release. She leads more than 400 employees in the retail branch network, community development, branch operations, government banking, business solutions and Liberty Bank Investment Services.
“We take pride in recruiting and retaining the bestof-the-best in the industry. Over nearly three decades, Minnie has deservedly earned that reputation in the industry, in the region and right here among her teammates at Liberty Bank,” David W. Glidden, president and CEO, said in a prepared statement.
“We will continue to build off her extensive banking acumen to grow and deepen customer relationships, deliver an extraordinary customer experience, satisfy increasing customer expectations and position Liberty as the community bank of the future, especially now as we confront the new normal in banking due to the pandemic,” he said.
Prior to joining Liberty, Saleh was with Sovereign Bank/Santander for 12 years, as an executive vice president and regional president for Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Central and Southern Massachusetts. There, she led a retail and business banking team of 1,100 team members and 153 branches, according to the release.
A graduate of Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass., Saleh also attended the Consumer Bankers Association’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management where she graduated with top honors.
