Chambers to honor 2020 Women of Excellence

Three partnering Chambers of Commerce, Clinton, Old Saybrook and Shoreline Chamber will present the 5th annual Women of Excellence Awards Celebration Oct. 8 on Zoom. Ann Nyberg of WTNH will again serve as the event’s Emcee and the event will feature video footage of the award winners receiving their awards along with a keynote speaker, according to a statement.

The Women of Excellence awards ceremony recognizes women from the shoreline region who exhibit inspirational qualities, demonstrates her vision to better our communities through her career or through volunteering, mentoring and advising, and empowers others through her leadership, according to the statement. This year’s awards winners are:

• Clinton Chamber of Commerce: Jane Scully Welch (Clinton); Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce:; Sharon Lewis (Old Saybrook); Shoreline Chamber of Commerce: Jaye Andrews (Branford), Heather Hackley (North Branford), Meghan Scanlon (Guilford), and Catherine Francucci (Madison)

The awards will video choreographed and streamed during the live virtual event.
