Saturday, Sept. 5

RIVER CONCERTS: “Goodspeed by the River” concerts will be held on the Goodspeed lawn overlookin­g the scenic Connecticu­t River, with songs, stories and plenty of live music. Bring a picnic, chairs or a blanket. Concerts begin Aug. 20 and continue weekly through Sept. 6, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. Tickets $25, available by calling the Box Office at 860-873-8668.

LIBRARY CLOSED: The Godfrey Library will be closed for Labor Day Sept. 5, and will resume regular hours Sept. 8. The library’s Genealogy Club (Zoom version) will happen later this month - stay tuned. Until further notice, Wednesday evening hours are suspended. ADULT EDUCATION: Middletown Adult Education is accepting registrati­ons for the fall semester.
