TRASH & RECYCLING: No trash or recycling on Sept. 7 at the transfer station and Shelton city yard. Monday’s collection will be one day late. For the rest of the week, residents are advised to put out their trash and recycling materials on their normal scheduled day. If it is not picked up that day, it will be on the following day.

Participants are Long River Farm, Old Lyme; Forest City Farms, Cato Corner Farm, Cugno’s Farm and Cold Spring Farm, Colchester; Fat Stone Farm, Lyme; Muddy Roots Farm, Wallingford; Fishers Island Oyster Farm, New York; Drew’s Honeybees, Norwich; Provider Farm, Salem; and Starlight Gardens, Durham. Forest City is taking orders Sunday to Thursday for pick up at their farm on Saturdays. CALENDAR PROJECT UNDERWAY: Greater New Haven Cat Project Inc. is printing a wall calendar for 2021 and invites residents to have their pet included. Sponsor a day in the calendar and have your pet’s photo on that date. The rest of the calendar will feature GNHCP foster cats and educational information about T/N/R and feral cats.
