Firefighters need bulletproof vests
I have expressed a great deal of gratitude and respect for the New Haven Fire Department. I also recently started advocating for fire departments and the safety of our firefighters. And for Chief John Alston. Firefighters put their lives on the line and they go above and beyond the call duty.
Here are my reasons and my opinions on why the New Haven Fire Department deserves bulletproof vests:
⏩ Protecting the firefighters at high-risk calls and emergencies such as shootings, stabbings, hostage situations.
Protecting the firefighters who protect and serve the public and go above and beyond the call of duty.
Protecting our firefighters would be a safety net in protecting the public and the New Haven Fire Department.
Firefighters with the New Haven Fire Department do a great deal for the city of New Haven. And New Haven firefighters deserve and have a right to have the proper protective equipment. So I urge the city of New Haven and Mayor Justin Elicker’s office and Chief John Alston’s office to put funding aside so that the firefighters can get their bulletproof vests and be protected while responding to fire scenes and other emergencies.
Never be afraid to be a firefighter with any great department like in the state of Connecticut and nationwide, statewide and citywide and there is no better job in the world then to be a firefighter.
I am pushing and advocating for firefighters to get bulletproof vests. And to be protected out on our streets in the city of New Haven and in the New Haven Fire Department. Become a firefighter and do your city and community proud and do your nation proud and do your country proud.
