The owners of this stunning Georgian colonial on Wimbledon Lane nicknamed the backyard of the three-acre property “Little Woodstock” because when their children were growing up it practically became a camping ground for their children and their friends.

“They pitched tents all summer and basically created a summer camp in the backyard,” the owners explained.

The enchanting estatelike grounds are highlighted by sprawling lawns, beautiful trees and gardens and a picturesque stone terrace rivaling any Italian terrazzo.

“Having the Easton Racquet Club as our summer neighbor transformed our home into a joyful resort where you have access to a full-sized pool, tennis courts and paddle tennis without getting in your car,” the owners stated. “I could walk over in the morning and have the entire pool to myself for laps or just a refreshing morning swim."

“Our home sent out a very warm invitation to our friends and our children’s friends," they added. "There was hardly a weekend that at least one child was an overnight guest in our home and there were many nights that there were too many to count. The house has a great floorplan for entertaining whether for family get togethers, Super Bowl parties with 80 people or office Christmas dinner parties for 40 people.”

Driving up the property’s horseshoe driveway, the owners were drawn to the home’s stately curb appeal. With four to five bedrooms, six-plus baths and over 4750 square feet of finely appointed living space, (6,000 including the finished basement), the home is ideal for entertaining as well as comfortable family living. There is ample privacy and something for everyone among two dedicated home offices, a gym and a terrific recreation room with bar.

Double doors welcome guests into the entry foyer, accented with raised panel trim and hardwood floors that span the main level. The southeastern exposure brings an abundance of natural light throughout the home. The formal living room has a beautiful wood burning fireplace, while the dining room can accommodate any family gathering. The gourmet kitchen is completely renovated including custom cabinetry, brand new gas stainlesssteel double oven, warming drawer, wine fridge, granite countertops, island seating and dining area. The kitchen is open to an inviting Great room with vaulted ceiling, skylights, whitewashed brick wall with wood burning stove, and sliders to the stone patio. And then this culminates with a Game room complete with vaulted beamed ceiling, wood burning fireplace and tiki bar reminiscent of a wishing well.

“We spent many laughter-filled nights here playing pool, foosball, ping pong or watching sports while enjoying the spirits being served from the irresistible tiki bar shrouded in hundreds of small Christmas lights,” the owners commented. Among their favorite memories were celebrating the New York Giants two Super Bowl victories.”

The patio became an additional 600-squarefoot room from May to September with music, a fountain and nature,” the owners added. “We had our own Audubon Society in our backyard with birds and tree frogs singing joyfully every day and night.”

The lower level offers a gym, guest room with a full bath and two offices.

The second-floor master suite becomes a relaxing escape with a cathedral ceiling, fireplace, dressing room with his and her closets and luxurious bath. Two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bath and the fourth bedroom is en suite.
