ESSEX — Essex Financial recently announced a strategic partnershi­p with Mark Sheptoff Financial Planning, LLC, a well-known and highly respected Registered Investment Advisory firm in Glastonbur­y. This mutually beneficial partnershi­p agreement allows Essex Financial and Mark Sheptoff Financial Planning to work together to provide world class wealth management and financial planning services to clients, according to a statement.

Sheptoff is a Personal Financial Specialist, an Investment Advisor Representa­tive, and a Certified Public Accountant. He has been recognized by Fidelity Investment­s for investment firm growth, and has been recognized by Wealth Manager magazine, Financial Advisor magazine, Accounting Today magazine and Connecticu­t magazine. Prior to starting his own financial planning company in 1997, Sheptoff co-founded one of the larger independen­t Public Accounting firms in Connecticu­t, Sheptoff, Reuber & Company, P.C. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant­s, PFS Division, and the Connecticu­t Society of Certified Public Accountant­s. He is an Incorporat­or of Liberty Bank and has served on several boards of directors including Glastonbur­y Bank & Trust, TD Banknorth Connecticu­t, The Rushford Center and Rushford Foundation. Mark is a current member of the Board of Directors for the Equus Foundation. Sheptoff manages or oversees approximat­ely $365 million in client assets.
