KEEP AN EYE ON

Road trip: Friday is the first of five consecutive road games over the next two weeks for the Huskies. They don’t play again at Gampel Pavilion until their regular-season finale on March 1 against Marquette.

“It’s crazy, right?” UConn coach Geno Auriemma said. Given that, junior Olivia Nelson-Ododa said it’ll be even more important for the Huskies to avoid starting slow.

“Playing at another team’s place, once they get those leads and once they start feeling good themselves, it can be hard to recover from that.”

Back on track: Evina Westbrook snapped out of a mini slump in Wednesday’s victory over Seton Hall. The junior guard had 12 points on 6 of 12 shooting, scoring in double figures for the first time in four games.

“I was a little disappointed just in myself from the South Carolina game (0 points), just not being able to perform for my team,” Westbrook said. “I’m definitely happy that we got the win last game, but just coming into this game I knew I had to turn it up not only for myself, but for my team. I knew that we were going to need it.”

History lesson: UConn is 44-3 against Georgetown under Auriemma and 46-6 all-time. The Huskies beat the Hoyas 72-41 on Jan. 23 in Storrs when freshman Paige Bueckers was sidelined with a sprained ankle.
