LITTLE, JR., MARVIN P.
Marvin P. Little, Jr., a longtime resident of West Haven, died peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer on February 2, 2021. Marvin was born on July 25, 1959, he leaves behind his loving wife, Michele Domek Little, his cherished daughter Lisamarie Domek (John Arminio), Felix his beloved cat. He also leaves behind his brother and his wife Bruce and Judy Little. A proud Pop to his grandchildren, Natalie Faulkner, Jessica Faulkner, and Matthew LaRock. Predeceased by a daughter Jennifer Domek and his parents Marvin Little Sr. and Albertha Simmons Little. Marvin attended and graduated from Our Lady Of Victory, Notre Dame High School then attended University of New Haven and received a Bachelor’s Degree In Business Administration. During his life one of his loves was football, he played for Ray Tellier Football-Kelly Construction Midget football, Notre Dame High school (defensive tackle #30), Nichols College (offensive guard) and The University of New Haven, Chargers (Tightend, #44). He also played semi-professional football for two years for the New England Crusaders (tight end). He also loved playing adult men’s softball. The last team he played with was the “Fun Boys” often participating in fundraising tournaments for cancer. He retired from Red Thread/BKM as a truck driver. He was a “die hard” Raiders and Yankee fan. Anyone who knew Marvin could not help but be happy around him, due to his infectious laugh and smile. He was truly a “Gentle Giant”, a mentor to many. He lived with dignity and grace even during his difficult time battling the fight of his life. It seemed he worried more about others than himself. He will be missed by many. Family wishes to thank Smilow and its staff, Dr. Jeremy Kortnansky, the YM Center at the Smilow Center North Haven for all the care and compassion they have given to Marvin and his family. A Mass celebrating his life will be held at St. Lawrence Church on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Located at 207 Main Street, West Haven, CT 06516. Social distancing and masks will be required.
Ronald Andrew Saldibar, age 56, of West Haven passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021. Born on September 10, 1964, in New Haven, he was a son of Rose Mulone Saldibar and the late William Saldibar. In addition to his mother, Ron is survived by his son Ronald, his siblings Janet Johnson, Vivienne Saldibar, Joan (Pat) Foley, Robin (Jim) Southworth, Bobby Saldibar, Theresa Harris and many nieces and nephews. Ronnie was predeceased by his brother, William Jr. He worked as a laborer for Gibraltar Construction.
