DONADIO, SHIRLEY A.

Shirley A. Donadio passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25th after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer with her daughter and son in law by her side at her home in Branford. She was the wife of the late Terrance Helminski. Shirley was born in New Haven on September 5, 1950. Daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Massey Donadio. She had worked as a paralegal for many years but her true devotion was as a loving caregiver to her parents in their later years. Shirley loved music, dancing, gardening and poetry. She was a published poet and a proud member of the International Society of Poetry for many years. She was the loving mother to Jodi (Ernest) Perno of Boca Raton, FL as well as Lola, her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Sister of Frank (Marcia) Donadio of FL and Karen (Frank) Suppe of MA. Funeral arrangements are private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Robert (Bob) Eugene Kramer, 84, of Vernon, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. He was born on December 12, 1936 in New Rochelle, NY, to the late Eugene and Hilde (Merten) Kramer. Bob was a US Army Veteran, spending time overseas, in Germany, and honorably discharged from the Army in May of 1962. He started his career as a Route Salesman with Thomas’ Bakery and with Entenmann’s Bakery, where he retired after 30 years. In his retirement, he took on a part-time job of ‘personal driver’, which he loved, creating a forever-bond with the family he was employed by. He enjoyed watching the wildlife that would frequently visit in his back yard and spending Sundays watching football. Above all, he loved his family. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara (Gentile) Kramer of Vernon, CT. He is also survived by his children, Jo Ann Lewis of East Windsor, CT; Janet (Michael) Varonka of Lewes, DE; Ken (Terry) Kramer of Southington, CT; Ron (Tatiana) Kramer of Thomaston, CT; Erik (Julie) Kramer of Jeannette, PA and his step-children, Richie Soderberg of Vernon, CT; Cheryl Soderberg of Ft Meyers, FL; Jenny (Cyril) Bihary of West Haven, CT; Tina (Jesse) Cerrone of West Haven; in addition to his 10 grandchildren/step-grandchildren that he very much loved. A private celebration of his life will be planned at the convenience of the family.
