Spectrum Art Gallery to open Changing Seasons show
ESSEX — Changing Seasons, an exhibition showcasing select works by participating artists in the 2021 Outdoor Autumn Arts Festival. will open at the Spectrum Art Gallery and Artisans Store of Centerbrook on Friday, Sept. 24.
The newest work of artists and artisans from throughout Connecticut and other parts of New England and the tri-state region will be included in this six-week gallery show which opens to the public that Friday from noon to 6 p.m., with an open house weekend, Saturday, Sept. 25, from 1-6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 26, from 1-5 p.m. at the gallery, at 61 Main St. The show runs through Nov. 7.
Changing Seasons presents original fine art including representational and abstract painting, photography and mixed media and collage; the gallery’s Artisans Store offers many one-of-a-kind fine crafts including works in stoneware, glass, wood, fabric and more. Many jewelry designs in sterling silver, pearls,
precious and semi-precious metals and stones and other fine materials can also be found.
Spectrum hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 12-6 p,m. and Sunday, 12-5 p.m. For information,

The Autumn Arts Festival will run Saturday, Oct. 9, 10-5 p,m,, and Sunday, Oct. 10, 12-5 p.m. on the Madison Town Green on Boston
Post Road (Route 1) and Copse Road. This festival is annually sponsored by the nonprofit Arts Center Killingworth. Admission to both the gallery’s group show and festival is free, with the festival being pet-friendly and offering local food selections and live musical performances.
