HARRISONBU­RG, Va. — Old Saybrook resident Megan Kapij is enrolled at James Madison University for the fall 2021 semester. Kapij’s major is marketing.

University of Rhode Island

KINGSTON, R.I. — The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,000 of its newest alumni during commenceme­nt May 21 to 23.

Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.7; magna cum laude, a GPA of at least 3.50; and cum laude, a GPA of at least 3.3.

Central Connecticu­t State University

MIDDLETOWN — Louis Beauchamp of Cromwell was selected as a recipient of a $1,000 college scholarshi­p from the Community Health Center. He is attending Central Connecticu­t State University.

In 2019, the CHC initiated a college scholarshi­p program for children of its employees. To be eligible, the student must attend an undergradu­ate college or university, submit an applicatio­n, and write an essay addressing a health-care issue.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Olivia Parmelee of Haddam was named to the spring 2021 trimester dean’s list at Palmer College of Chiropract­ic.
