Norman E. “Bud” Milles of Branford died Thursday January 13, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of the late Barbara Egan Milles. Bud was born February 24, 1934 in New Haven, son of the late Norman J. and Sigrund Strom Milles. He was a graduate of Hamden High School, Class of 1952 where he played basketball and tennis. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1953 – 1957. He attended New Haven College. He was a president of the Otto H. Schulz Company, and was a past member of IBEW Local 90, a past member of the National Electrical Contractor­s Associatio­n. He was also the president of the Milles Associatio­n and the Milles Electrical Company. He was a member and past president of the Branford Rotary Club and had been a volunteer on the Branford Festival Committee for 20 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed rowing around the Thimble Islands and spending time at his condominiu­m in Longboat Key, FL. He loved being on and around the water whether it was Long Island Sound or the Gulf of Mexico. Bud enjoyed having his lunch daily at Lynn’s where they kept a table for him with his name on it. He was a very generous person who always tried to help his family and friends and anyone around town. Norman is survived by his children, Donna Hatcher of Cranston, RI, Nancy (Tom) Flanagan of East Lyme, Robert (Diane) Milles of Branford and Norman “Chip” (Sue) Milles of Branford, his daughters-inlaw, Tracey Milles of Branford, and Cindy Milles of SC, his grandchild­ren, Jimmy, Anthony, Matthew, Katelyn, Ryan, Kendall, Erik, Sarah, Robert, Hannah, and Emma, and six great-grandchild­ren. He was predecease­d by his sons, Gary and Michael, his sister, Maureen Fusco and his brothers Paul and Daniel Milles.

Funeral services and burial are private at the convenienc­e of his family.
