This stone cottage looks like something out of a fairytale. According to the Airbnb listing, it was originally built in 1932 as quarters for the domestic staff of wealthy Hartford business owner, H.L. Bitter. The cottage is clad in shabby-chic décor, with dried flowers, vintage artwork and antique furnishings.
There is no kitchen, but guests can enjoy a fridge filled with cold drinks, a tea and candy bar and an outdoor firepit. The house sleeps four people in two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a full bed. Prices range around $135 a night.
The Seaside Gem
This seaside cottage is just across the street from a private beach. There’s an outdoor space with beachy rattan chairs and colorful hammocks along with a second-floor outdoor deck with dining space. The inside is decorating in shades of light blue and white neutrals, with nautical motifs like starfish and sailboats.
Windows throughout the space provide ample natural light, including a skylight in the kitchen. The three-bedroom cottage sleeps seven people, with one queen bed, one full bed and two twin beds. The house also offers snorkel gear, beach towels, umbrellas and other supplies for a spring beach day. Prices range around $324 per night.
The Artist’s Retreat
This sunny Westport loft is decorated in soft neutrals with pops of bright color and reproductions of famous works of art, honoring artists such as Frida Kahlo, Johannes Vermeer, Sir Frederic Leighton, and Vincent Van Gogh. The loft sits atop a renovated historic mill and has its own outdoor café space with a table and chairs.

This tiny house in Guilford is located on the grounds of Waystone Farm and offers eight acres of space. There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor exploration, including spaces for swimming, kayaking and picnicking. The farm is also home to goats, ducks and chickens for guests to visit. The tiny house is fully equipped with AC/heat, a full kitchen and a full bathroom. There is sleeping space for two people with one queen bed. Average cost is $150 a night.
