TOP PERFORMERS

Julia Bacoulis, Masuk: The freshman pitcher got her first start in a 19-0 win over Kolbe Cathedral in which she threw a no-hitter over five innings with 13 strikeouts.

Maddie Burrows, Waterford: Threw a complete game two-hitter with 12 strikeouts in Waterford’s 11-1 win over East Lyme.

Ashlyn Desaulnier­s, Southingto­n:

Went 8-for-11 with three triples, two home runs, five RBIs and 10 runs in four games for undefeated Southingto­n.

Niahm Dougherty, St. Joseph: The junior hit two home runs and a double in St. Joseph’s 10-0 win over Fairfield Warde.

Anna Dziecinny, Waterford: Thew a complete game one-hitter as No. 8 Waterford defeated NFA 8-1.

Jillian Dykema, Norwich Free Academy: Threw a complete game in NFA’s 15-2 win over Westhill, allowing three hits and no earned runs while striking out 12. She currently has a 0.50 ERA.

Amara Forstrom, Amity: In 24 innings pitched over four games this past week, Forstrom allowed just two runs on 15 hits while striking out 31 batters to keep Amity undefeated.

Kat Gallant, Masuk: Gallant bounced back from her first career loss on opening day with two wins in 14 innings last week. She allowed just two runs on six hits while striking out 27.

Brianna Greenlaw, Holy Cross: Greenlaw only got out once this week, going 8-for-9 with two home runs, two triples and eight RBIs in four games.

Hadley Marchand, RHAM: Marchand threw 17 innings over three games, going 3-0 with 24 strikeouts while allowing two earned runs on five hits. She also hit two home runs.

Kiley Regan, Seymour: Regan hit four home runs in three games, including two in Seymour’s 19-1 over Crosby. She had seven RBIs and six runs scored while collecting two doubles.

Sam Rogers, Southingto­n: Went 8for-14 in four games with two home runs, two triples, 12 RBIs and four runs. In Southingto­n’s 18-4 win over Hall, Rogers hit for the cycle and finished with eight RBIs.

Sam Sosnovich, Woodland: Sosnovich hit two home runs and two doubles with seven RBIs in Woodland’s 20-0 win over Wolcott. She also threw a perfect game over five innings while striking out nine.

Anna Leone, Shelton: The senior went 9-for-11 with 11 RBIs, three doubles and two triples in three wins for Shelton. She currently has a .706 batting average.

Grace Lurz, Cheshire: Lurz hit .692 (9-for-13) for the week, including four hits and the eventual game-winning RBI in Cheshire’s 5-4 win over No. 8 Waterford.

Mia Poturnicki, Coginchaug: The junior went 2-0 struck out 11 in as many innings while allowing just four baserunner­s and no runs.

Haley Pucci, Danbury: Threw two complete games with 35 strikeouts, allowing two earned runs (one unearned) on 1 hit. She threw a no-hitter in an 8-1 win against Immaculate with 17 strikeouts. She has had at least 14 Ks in all six of her starts this season.

Lauren Wasikowski, St. Joseph: Wasikowski threw two complete game shutouts, allowing three hits in both while striking out 12 and 13 respective­ly. She has not allowed a run in four games against Connecticu­t opponents.

GAMES TO WATCH

Masuk at St. Joseph, Thursday, 4 p.m.: St. Joseph is undefeated in state while Masuk suffered an opening day loss to No. 1 Fairfield Ludlowe. This will be a highly anticipate­d GameTimeCT Top 10 matchup, and rematch of the 2021 Class L championsh­ip game.

Woodland at Immaculate, Thursday, 4:30 p.m.:

Undefeated Woodland will look to show what it can do out of conference. Immaculate has played top 10 teams in Masuk and Danbury.

Hall at RHAM, Friday, 3:45 p.m.: Hall just fell out of the Top 10 after a tough loss to Southingto­n, while RHAM is undefeated and is receiving votes.

Old Lyme at Cromwell, Friday, 4 p.m.:

Old Lyme and Cromwell finished this week 22nd and 23rd in total votes in the Top 10 poll. In a very competitiv­e Shoreline conference, this one could already have playoff implicatio­ns.

North Branford at Coginchaug, Friday, 4 p.m.:

Defending Shoreline champion North Branford (3-3) just won against Old Lyme, and defending Class S state champion Coginchaug (5-1) just beat undefeated Haddam-Killingwor­th.
