Amy Pfeiler-Wunder, Mark Wolfmeyer and Angela Cirucci
Amy Pfeiler-Wunder and Mark Wolfmeyer were awarded the 2019 Chambliss Faculty Research Award, and Angela Cirucci, assistant professor of communication studies, was awarded the 2019 John P. Schellenberg Award for Excellent in Teaching and Learning at Kutztown University.
Pfeiler-Wunder is a professor of art education. She began at KU in 2009, and her work spans the fields of social justice, art-science integration and professional identity within visual art educational communities. Pfeiler-Wunder holds a doctorate in teaching and learning/art education from the University of Iowa. She received a Master of Arts in art education from Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts in art education and elementary education from Mount Mercy College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Wolfmeyer is an assistant professor of secondary education. He began at KU in 2015 and serves as president of the Eastern Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Wolfmeyer holds a doctorate in urban education from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. He received a Master of Arts in mathematics education from Claremont Graduate University and a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and music from Pomona College.
A researcher and theorist, Cirucci began at KU in 2015. Her work explores the symbolic meaning of programming languages and the intersection of institutional practice and user knowledge, with a focus on social network sites. Cirucci received her doctorate from Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication. She was previously a senior doctoral fellow and a humanities, arts, science and technology alliance and collaboratory digital humanities scholar. She received a Master of Arts from Temple in broadcasting, telecommunication and mass media and a Bachelor of Arts from Rowan University. brings 13 years of nonprofit fundraising and event management experience to the Charter Arts team. She has been involved with the Lehigh Valley community not only as a fundraiser but as a volunteer for various nonprofit organizations.
