Joseph J. Marcin
Joseph John Marcin, Ed.D, age 81, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Messiah Village. Born July 14, 1938 in Bethlehem, PA he was the son of the late Stephen J. and Anna (Balent) Marcin. Joseph earned his Bachelor’s degree from Kutztown University, Masters from Lehigh University and his Doctorate from Temple University. He was the Assistant Principal of the former Broughal Junior High School in Bethlehem, PA and Principal of the former Lemoyne Middle School in Lemoyne, PA. He was the Owner and CFO of Thompson Institute in Harrisburg. Joseph was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes, Enola, the West Shore Elks and the Knights of Columbus. He was a US Army veteran.
Joseph is survived by his two children, Joseph Stephen Marcin and wife Tammy of Camp Hill and Diane Michele Marcin and wife Marsha Brandt of Enola; sister Ann Marie Nonnemaker and husband Robert of Bethlehem; former wife, Barbara Marcin of Enola and grandson Ethan Marcin of Camp Hill. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Margaret Flanagan, Stephen Marcin and John Marcin. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at
