Schools sometimes need police officers

This is concerning the idea of removing police officers from the schools. We live in the Bethlehem School District. A few years ago while my daughter was a student at one of their middle schools, one of her classmates bit a fellow classmate and became violent with the teacher and was a threat to everyone in the room.

I can understand why some parents and students may feel it is right to remove officers from the schools. But in cases like this, I know I am extremely grateful to the officer for being there to prevent any further injuries inflicted on anyone in the room.
