Debbie Christman, Emmaus
While somewhat overshadowed by Dieruff and Central Catholic state-title teams in the 1970s, Christman ended her scholastic career at Emmaus in 1978 as the state’s all-time leading scorer with 2,285 points.
Christman was a three-time East Penn Conference All-Star and a two-time All-District 11 selection. She averaged 26.7 points per game as a senior and scored 52 points in a game against Central Catholic.
“Debbie was really good, one of the first girls players who was just a dominant player,” said former Dieruff coach Tom Young. “She was the top of the line at that time.”
In the 1978 district final against a CCHS team that would go on to win a state championship, Christman had 21 points,
