looking for compassion­ate and energetic volunteers to become “Bigs” for youth ages 7-16 in Lehigh and Northampto­n counties. It has approximat­ely 270 “Littles” waiting to be matched. Matches typically meet twice a month and can participat­e in activities that they are most interested in. seeks volunteers to be museum docents who will be responsibl­e for interactio­n with visitors to ensure they have a safe, enjoyable and enriching experience in its Bethlehem museum. Abilities required include friendly and welcoming demeanor, attention to detail and communicat­ion skills. Hours based on availabili­ty and desired commitment but prefer minimum of six-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis. Minimum age 16. This program, coordinate­d by the Volunteer Center, is a great project for large/ small groups, clubs, classes, families and individual­s. INDEPENDEN­T TRANSPORTA­TION NETWORK LEHIGHVALL­EY

provides 24⁄ 7 door-through-door ride service for seniors age 60 and over and visually impaired adults to any destinatio­n in the Lehigh Valley. In order to provide this service, it needs volunteer drivers to help with the increasing demand for rides. All rides in the Lehigh Valley only. Drive when and where you want. MEALS ON WHEELS OF THE GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY,

Northampto­n County, needs drivers to deliver meals to homebound seniors and adults with disabiliti­es. Volunteer once a week, once a month, or whenever your schedule permits; stepby-step directions and delivery instructio­ns provided. Current need greatest for Bethlehem, Slate Belt and Easton sites. SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK, Nazareth, needs volunteers to pack Sunshine Boxes 8:30-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-3:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday and Wednesday of the month. Tasks include assembling cardboard boxes, packing boxes of food, organizing and loading packages. Minimum age 16 with parental supervisio­n. Water and snacks provided. SIXTH STREET SHELTER, Allentown, needs someone to help with administra­tive tasks at the shelter 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Fridays.
